Question by Lisa H: what to do about under age sex??

my neice who is nearly 14 (and is actually quite mature for her age but still doesn't change the matter) has been with this lad of 16 for about 10 months, and they've had sex. but her mum found out and demanded that they can't carry on and must wait til she is 16.

but my fear is that she still wants to have sex and i don't want her to end up pregnant. and i know her mum will get the police involved if she finds out their having a sexual relationship again.

she asked me for advice. but i don't know what to do. should she tell her mum that she really can't wait, or try to hide the fact they're having sex?

i know i should tell her to wait really, but i'd rather her be safe than sorry.

Back away from it. It's obvious she needs to deal with this and let her do it her way. If she needs advice - have her talk to her doctor.
