Question by Smash: Why do people hide what sex they're interested in on facebook?

I recently graduated high school and I am noticing more and more people that I graduated with have the "Interested in" section private. I noticed that some bisexual people do that but I didn't really think some of these people were. I know its none of my business so hopefully no one takes offense to this. I'm just curious about why they would hide it if they're straight.

They may be scared of judgment or they may still be in the closet or they may not have told there family members and don't want them to know.
